NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude settles at $28.46; natgas also drops

HOUSTON, January 19 2016 (PCW) -- February NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.96/bbl to $28.46/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.15 to $31.01/bbl. The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.76/bbl favoring WTI.

Prompt natural gas futures were down 0.9 cents at $2.091/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.0262 pg, up 0.50 cpg.

US Gulf cash gasoline differentials ended higher versus Friday’s levels.

The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.32/bbl, $1.68/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
