NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude approaches $30, RBOB also climbs

HOUSTON, January 21 2016 (PCW) -- March NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.18/bbl to $29.53/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.25 to $29.13/bbl. The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.40/bbl favoring WTI.

Prompt natural gas futures were up 2 cents at $2.138/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.0312 pg, up 1.35 cpg.

US Gulf cash gasoline differentials ended higher versus Wednesday’s levels.

The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.09/bbl, $2.12/bbl under the screen. – John Troland.
