NGL production down 3% month-on-month in November: EIA data
HOUSTON, January 29, 2016 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids production fell nearly 3.2 million barrels to 103.071 million barrels between October and November, according to EIA data released Friday.
Ethane/ethylene production outpaced that of propane/propylene for the first time since April 2015 with the former proving to be the only NGL that saw month-on-month growth.
Ethane/ethylene production was 36.534 million barrels in November, up 629,000 barrels from October. Propane/propylene production came in at nearly 34.57 million barrels in November, down 1.623 million barrels from October.
Other NGLs’ production also decreased:
Butane/butylene: 10.05 million barrels, down 333,000 barrels from October
Isobutane/isobutylene: 9.12 million barrels, a fall of 706,000 barrels
Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 12.8 million barrels, a 1.165 million-barrel decrease
