NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude plunges; Brent/WTI spread at 43 cents/bbl
HOUSTON, January 6, 2016 (PCW) -- February NYMEX crude futures settled down $2.00/bbl to $33.97/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $2.19 to $34.40/bbl.
The February Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.43/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 5.8 cents at $2.267/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.1618/gal, down 9.49 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials declined versus Tuesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 14.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was weaker at 14.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium fell to 8 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 decreased to 8 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was down at 12.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.28/bbl, $4.41/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
