NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline extend gains; nat gas climbs on storage
HOUSTON, January 11, 2017 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.76/bbl to $53.01/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.95/bbl to $56.03/bbl.
The March Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.19/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 16.2 cents at $3.386/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6108/gal, up 1.79 cpg.
January gasoline differentials were weaker versus Wednesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was lower at 4.25 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 9.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 fell to 10.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 3.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.74/bbl, $2.81/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
