NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude posts mixed results; gasoline, nat gas falter

HOUSTON, January 17, 2017 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.11/bbl to $52.48/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.39/bbl to $55.47/bbl.

The March Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.21/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 0.7 cents at $3.412/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6004/gal, down 1.13 cpg.

January gasoline differentials were weaker versus Friday’s levels.

The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.33/bbl, $3.08/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
