US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop for third straight week

HOUSTON, January 19, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell by 225,000 bbls (5.1%) to 4.222 million bbls, the third consecutive inventory draw, the Energy Department reported today. Propylene stocks are down 379,000 bbls (8.2%) over the past four weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization during the week ended Jan 13 was down 4.4 percentage points at 92%. -- David Barry
