NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, nat gas rally; gasoline probes lower
HOUSTON, January 19, 2017 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.29/bbl to $51.37/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.18/bbl to $54.24/bbl.
The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $2.12/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 6.6 cents at $3.368/mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5345/gal, down 1.42 cpg.
January gasoline differentials were mostly stronger versus Wednesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 5.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 5.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 11.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 rose to 12.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was steady at 3.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.92/bbl, $3.33/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
