NGL production falls 2.4% month-on-month in August: EIA data
HOUSTON, October 31, 2016 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids production fell 5.376 million barrels to 105.378 million barrels (3.51 million b/d) in August from July, according to EIA data released Monday.
For the first time since February, propane/propylene production surpassed that of ethylene. Propane/propylene supplies came in at 36.471 million barrels (1.22 million b/d) in August, up 246,000 barrels from July. Ethane/ethylene production was at 34.198 million barrels (1.14 million b/d) in August, a month-on-month decline of 5.991 million barrels.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
· Butane/butylene: 10.132 million barrels (337,733 b/d), up 83,000 barrels from July;
· Isobutane/isobutylene: 10.019 million barrels (333,967 b/d), an increase of 143,000 barrels;
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 14.558 million barrels (485,267 b/d), a 143,000 barrel rise.
