US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop for a third week
HOUSTON, October 25, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell by 229,000 bbls (-7.9%) to 2.678 million bbls for the week of October 20, the Energy Department reported today. It was the third consecutive weekly decline, and the lowest level recorded since the week of July 21, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Inventories are now 564,000 bbls below the 52-week average of 3.242 million bbls. Upstream, Gulf Coast refinery utilization jumped 6.5 percentage points to 90.2%, the highest level since the week before Hurricane Harvey. -- David Barry
