US nonfuel use propylene supplies jump to highest level since May
HOUSTON, November 2, 2016 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased by 283,000 bbls (8.3%) to 3.710 million bbls, the Energy Department reported today. It was the highest level since late May, following nine inventory builds in the past ten weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Inventories are now on par with one year go, but spot refinery grade propylene, which closed at 27 cpp on Tuesday, was hovering around 19 cpp in early November 2015. US Gulf refinery utilization last week edged up 0.1 percentage point to 86%. -- David Barry
