NGL production falls 2.6% month-on-month in September: EIA data
HOUSTON, November 30, 2016 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids production fell 2.766 million barrels to 102.612 million barrels (3.42 million b/d) in September from August, according to EIA data released Wednesday.
Propane/propylene production surpassed that of ethylene for the second consecutive month. Propane/propylene supplies came in at 34.865 million barrels (1.16 million b/d) in September, down 1.606 million barrels from August. Ethane/ethylene production was at 34.809 million barrels (1.16 million b/d) in September, a month-on-month increase of 611,000 barrels.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
· Butane/butylene: 9.631 million barrels (321,033 b/d), down 501,000 barrels from August;
· Isobutane/isobutylene: 9.555 million barrels (318,500 b/d), a decrease of 464,000 barrels;
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 13.752 million barrels (458,400 b/d), an 806,000 barrel decline.
