Palm Beach County offers 12-14 truckloads PET bales for January

HOUSTON, December 15, 2015 (PCW) -- The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida, (SWA) is offering 12-14 truckloads of baled green-and-clear PET bottles and containers in its January 2016 bid offering, SWA said Wednesday. Bids for the SWA January 2016 offering are due Dec 29 by 2 pm ET.

SWA's monthly bale sales are a widely watched pricing indicator for US markets east of the Rockies. PET bales are often reprocessed into rPET pellet and flake and are also exported.

SWA is also offering: three truckloads of natural HDPE bottle and containers; five truckloads of pigmented (mixed-colors) HDPE bottles and containers; two truckloads of post-sorted #1-7 plastic bottle and containers, mixed with rigid and injection-grade #1-7; and one truckload of #1-7 large/oversized rigid and injection-grade plastic material. A typical truckload of plastic scrap bales weighs 40,000 lb.
