NuStar, ConocoPhillips to load first US crude export cargo on Thursday
HOUSTON, December 30, 2015 (PCW) –- NuStar Energy and ConocoPhillips said Wednesday they would complete loading what could be the US’s first crude export cargo on Thursday.
Conoco has sold the cargo of Eagle Ford light crude to Vitol. Loading should be completed at NuStar's North Beach Terminal at Corpus Christi on Thursday.
NuStar is in the process of developing a second private dock at Corpus Christi, which would ultimately bring the company’s loading rate at the port to 90,000 bbl/hour.
Last week, Enterprise Products Partners said it would provide pipeline and marine terminal services to load its first export of US crude oil. That 600,000 barrel cargo, also reportedly of Eagle Ford shale light crude, is expected to load at Enterprise’s terminal on the Houston Ship Channel during the first week of January. Vitol is also loading that cargo.
