US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop, marking 20% decline in past 4 weeks

HOUSTON, December 9, 2015 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell 129,000 bbl (4.2%) to 2.962 million bbl, the Energy Department reported today. Inventories have fallen for three consecutive weeks, although this week's drop was milder than the previous two, according to the department's Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Over the past four weeks, nonfuel use propylene inventories have fallen 20% (725,000 bbl). Increased US Gulf propylene exports to Mexico and Colombia and a late fall refinery turnaround season have been cited as factors in the recent drawdown. -- David Barry
