NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude softens, nat gas, gasoline shoot up
HOUSTON, December 21, 2016 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.81/bbl to $52.49/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.71/bbl to $54.52/bbl.
The February Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.03/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 27.9 cents at $3.542/mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6055/gal, up 1.19 cpg.
December gasoline differentials were mostly stronger versus Tuesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was up at 5.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was stronger at 4.75 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 11.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 rose to 11.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 5.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $13.48/bbl, $2.95/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
