NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude approaches $54 a barrel, nat gas also rises
HOUSTON, December 27 2016 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled higher, up $0.88 BBl to $53.90. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.97 to $56.10. The February Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.20/bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were up 9.9 cents at $3.761/mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6528 pg, up 2.66 cpg.
December gasoline differentials were mixed versus Friday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 4.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 4.00 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 11.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 11.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 2.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $14.60/bbl, $2.57/bbl under the screen. – John Troland.
