NYMEX Friday Wrap: Crude closes week with slim losses; nat gas, gasoline also soften
HOUSTON, December 30, 2016 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled $0.05/bbl lower at $53.72/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.08/bbl to $56.77/bbl.
The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $2.11/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 7.8 cents at $3.724/mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6651/gal, down 1.69 cpg.
December gasoline differentials were mixed versus Thursday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 2.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was higher at 2.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 13.00 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 13.25 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was up at 1.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $15.77/bbl, $1.99/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
