NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline strengthen; nat gas crashes
HOUSTON, December 7, 2017 (PCW) -- January NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.73/bbl at $56.69/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.86/bbl at $62.11/bbl.
The February Brent/WTI spread widened to $5.36/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 15.9 cents at $2.763/mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.7000/gal, up 3.91 cpg.
January gasoline differentials were mixed versus Wednesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 5.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 5.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 3.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was up at 3.50 over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 4.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $7.98/bbl, $9.49/bbl under the screen. -- John Troland
