October NGL, ethane, propane production hits fresh highs: EIA data
HOUSTON, December 29, 2017 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids rose 12.214 million barrels, or 11%, in October to 122.993 million barrels (3.97 million b/d) compared to the prior month, according to EIA data released Friday. This marks a fresh high for overall NGL production, besting the prior record of 116.413 million barrels (3.76 million b/d) in July.
Ethane production also hit a new record, coming in at 48.023 million barrels (1.55 million b/d), up 8.958 million barrels from September. Propane/propylene supplies also hit a fresh zenith in October at 39.279 barrels (1.27 million b/d), up 2.207 million barrels from September.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
-- Butane: 10.578 million barrels (341,226 b/d), up 850,000 barrels from September;
-- Isobutane: 10.603 million barrels (342,032 b/d), a decrease of 62,000 barrels;
-- Natural gasoline: 14.510 million barrels (468,065 b/d), a 261,000 barrel increase.
