US nonfuel use propylene inventories decline for third week

HOUSTON, February 18, 2016 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell 112,000 bbl (3.6%) to 3.027 million bbl, the Energy Department reported today. It was the third straight weekly decline, and the lowest inventory level since early December 2015, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Gulf Coast refinery utilization has averaged 85% over the past four weeks, amid planned winter turnarounds and operational cutbacks due to high gasoline inventories. -- David Barry
