NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline retreat; nat gas extends gains
HOUSTON, February 2, 2017 (PCW) — March NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.34/bbl to $53.54/bbl. April Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.11/bbl to $56.60/bbl.
The April Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.43/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 1.9 cents at $3.187/mmBtu. March NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5329/gal, down 4.62 cpg.
February gasoline differentials were softer versus Wednesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was weaker at 4.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 3.75 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 9.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 fell to 10.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 2.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.15/bbl, $1.46/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
