NGL production 3.9% lower in December: EIA data
HOUSTON, February 28, 2017 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids production fell 4.261 million barrels to 103.676 million barrels (3.3 million b/d) in December from November, according to EIA data released Tuesday.
Ethane/ethylene production continued to surpass that of propane/propylene coming in at 37.781 million barrels (1.22 million b/d), down 2.58 million barrels from November. Propane/propylene supplies came in at 34.713 million barrels (1.12 million b/d) in December, down 552,000 barrels from November.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
· Butane/butylene: 9.063 million barrels (292,355 b/d), down 1.105 million barrels from November;
· Isobutane/isobutylene: 9.716 million barrels (313,419 b/d), an increase of 716,000 barrels;
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 12.403 million barrels (400,097 b/d), a 740,000 barrel decline.
