NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude, gasoline rally; nat gas stalls
HOUSTON, January 3, 2018 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.26/bbl at $61.63/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.31/bbl at $67.87bbl.
The February Brent/WTI spread widened to $6.26/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 4.8 cents at $3.008 mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.7974 gal, up 3.43 cpg.
February gasoline differentials were mixed versus Tuesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 4.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 4.50 over the screen.
RBOB rose to 3.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.08 bbl, $7.85/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
