US nonfuel use propylene supplies decline
HOUSTON, January 4, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell by 168,000 barrels (6.2%) to 2.534 million barrels for the week ending December 29, the Department of Energy said today. It was the first drop in three weeks, and inventories have declined in seven of the past 12 weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Propylene stocks are 13% below the 52-week average of 2.911 million barrels. Meanwhile,
US Gulf refinery utilization jumped 1.8 percentage points to 97.9% last week. It was the highest level of gross inputs to Gulf Coast refineries ever recorded, at 9.568 million b/d. -- David Barry
