Recycling giant Waste Management shuts operations in six states on weather
HOUSTON, January 4, 2018 (PCW) -- Recycler Waste Management has shut facilities in six states due to winter weather. The company on Thursday announced that facilities in the following locations were closed for the day:
Virginia: Chesapeake, greater Richmond area, Waverly, Bethel, Middle Peninsula Landfill, Gloucester County, Northern Neck, James City Transfer Station.
New Jersey: Matawon, Toms River, Woodbine.
Massachusetts: Foxboro, Norton, West Boylston, Woburn.
Delaware: Wilmington, Georgetown, Bridgeville.
Maryland: White Plains, Calvert City Transfer Station.
Rhode Island: Newport, Providence, Burrillville, Cranston.
WM also said operations could be affected at locations in Ohio and Indiana depending on the weather. Also, there were lingering disruptions in the greater Pittsburgh area due to bad weather on Dec 30 with normal operations expected on Jan 6. -- Xavier A Cronin
