NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude, nat gas, gasoline open week with slight gains
HOUSTON, January 8, 2018 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.29/bbl at $61.73/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.13/bbl at $67.81 bbl.
The February Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $6.08/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 4.0 cents at $2.835 mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.7918 gal, up 0.60 cpg.
February gasoline differentials were steady to weaker versus Friday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was firm at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 5.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 5.25 over the screen.
RBOB was softer at 3.25 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.32 bbl, $7.76/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
