HOUSTON, January 8, 2018 (PCW) -- The extreme winter weather over the past week has caused delays and hampered operations of Waste Management in six states, the recycling giant said on Monday:

Seventeen towns in Massachusetts will see one-day delays in residential pickup this week.

Road conditions in eight counties in Maryland have hampered WM from providing services. Normal operations are expected by Jan 13.

Icy conditions in western Pennsylvania made it impossible for WM to access some customers in three counties on Monday.

Residential collection in Cranston, Burrillville, Newport and Providence in Rhode Island this week is being delayed by one day.

Residential collection in Cumberland, Maine, is being delayed by one day this week.

Delays were seen in residential collection on Monday at Hampton Roads in Chesapeake, Virginia. -- Xavier A Cronin
