NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline extend gains; nat gas drops
HOUSTON, February 1, 2018 (PCW) — March NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.07/bbl at $65.80/bbl. April Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.70/bbl at $69.59 bbl.
The April Brent/WTI spread narrowed at $4.04/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 13.9 cents at $2.856 mmBtu. March NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.8958 gal, up 0.21 cpg.
March gasoline differentials were stronger versus Wednesday’s levels.
A4 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 4.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 4.25 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 8.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was up at 8.75 over the screen.
RBOB rose to 3.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.61 bbl, $6.94/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
