Anti-dumping duties on PET imports from five countries expected March 8
HOUSTON, February 23, 2018 (PCW) -- The US government will announce the results of its investigation into alleged dumping of PET resin in the US from five countries on March 8, a spokeswoman with the US International Trade Administration said on Friday. The original date, March 5, was postponed after lawyers for companies charged with dumping asked for additional time to file documents.
The March 8 decision will likely result in preliminary anti-dumping duties being imposed on PET on imports from Indonesia, Taiwan, Brazil, Pakistan and South Korea. Imports from the five countries accounted for about 42% of all US PET imports in 2017. -- Xavier A Cronin
