US nonfuel use propylene supplies climb to highest since September

HOUSTON, February 28, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories rose by 90,000 barrels (2.8%) last week to 3.343 million barrels, according to new figures from the Energy Department. It was the seventh consecutive inventory build, the longest run of stock increases since late 2014/early 2015. Propylene inventories are now 536,000 barrels (19.1%) above the 52-week average of 2.807 million barrels. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization was up 0.2 percentage points at 87%. -- David Barry
