US delays anti-dumping decision on PET imports until April 27
HOUSTON, March 1, 2018 (PCW) -- The US Trade Administration has delayed a decision on whether to impose anti-dumping duties on US import of PET resin from five countries to April 27, according to a US Federal Register notice from Wednesday. The decision was scheduled for March 8.
Lawyers for companies exporting PET to the US from the countries in question requested the delay to file additional documents.
The countries are South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Brazil and Pakistan. Together they accounted for about 42% of all US PET resin imports in 2017. -- Xavier A Cronin
