NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline finish stronger; nat gas sags
HOUSTON, May 3, 2018 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.50/bbl at $68.43/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.26/bbl at $73.62 bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread narrowed at $5.36 bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 2.8 cents at $2.726 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.0875 gal, up 0.77 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were mixed versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 13.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was higher at 7.50 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 1.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 7.50 over the screen.
RBOB was up at 2.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.99 bbl, $8.61/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
