NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Oil has steep drop, nat gas slips
HOUSTON, May 8, 2018 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.67/bbl at $69.06/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.61/bbl at $74.57 bbl. The July Brent/WTI spread widened at $5.60 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were down 0.9 cents at $2.732 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.1114 gal, down 2.26 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were mixed versus Monday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 14.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 8.50 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was down at 1.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was unchanged at 7.25 over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 1.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.52 bbl, $8.75/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
