US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop for seventh week in nine

HOUSTON, May 16, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories last week declined by 30,000 barrels (-1%) to 2.905 million barrels, according to the EIA. Propylene inventories have alternated between draws and builds over the past five weeks, and they are 293,000 barrels (11.2%) higher than four weeks ago. US Gulf refinery utilization was down 0.6 percentage point at 89.1%, compared with 96.5% a year ago. -- David Barry
