NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude, gasoline extends increase; nat gas softens again
HOUSTON, May 16, 2018 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.18/bbl at $71.49/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.74/bbl at $79.20 bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread widened at $7.64 bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 2.1 cents at $2.815 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.2499 gal, up 4.51 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were mixed versus Tuesday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was weaker at 14.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 9.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 0.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 fell to 6.25 over the screen.
RBOB was up at 0.50 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.93 bbl, $10.35/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
