NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude ends flat; gasoline falters, nat gas climbs
HOUSTON, May 17, 2018 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled unchanged at $71.49/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.23/bbl at $79.43 bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread widened at $7.86 bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 4.4 cents at $2.859 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.2431 gal, down 0.68 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were steady versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was unchanged at 14.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was firm at 9.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was steady at 0.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was flat at 6.25 over the screen.
RBOB was steady at 0.50 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.91 bbl, $10.34/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
