NYMEX Monday Wrap: Oil climbs above $72, nat gas drops
HOUSTON, May 21, 2018 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.96 at $72.24/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.73/bbl at $79.19 bbl. The July Brent/WTI spread narrowed at $6.84 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were down 3.7 cents at $2.810 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.2565 gal, up 2.32 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were steady to lower versus Friday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 14.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 9.75 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was steady at 3.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was steady at 10.75 over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 0.00 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.48 bbl, $10.30 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
