NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Oil drops below $72, nat gas little changed
HOUSTON, May 23, 2018 (PCW) — July NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.29 at $71.84/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.04/bbl at $79.60 bbl. The July Brent/WTI spread widened at $7.80 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were up 0.6 cents at $2.914 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.2601 gal, down 1.01 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were mostly steady from Tuesday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 15.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was unchanged at 9.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was steady at 2.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was unchanged at 10.00 over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 2.25 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.93 bbl, $10.58 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
