NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline soften; nat gas rallies
HOUSTON, May 31, 2018 (PCW) — July NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.17 at $67.04/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.01/bbl at $77.52 bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread widened at $10.48 bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 6.7 cents at $2.952 mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.1603 gal, down 2.39 cpg.
May gasoline differentials were mixed from Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was weaker at 16.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 10.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 2.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was up at 8.75 over the screen.
RBOB was softer at 0.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $13.29 bbl, $10.86 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
