US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop for third straight week
HOUSTON, June 20, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories for the week ending June 15 fell by 175,000 barrels (6.1%) to 2.698 million barrels, the EIA said today. It was the third consecutive inventory draw, and the ninth in the past twelve weeks. Propylene inventories are 163,000 barrels (5.7%) below the 52-week average, and are at the lowest level in nine weeks.
Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization increased by 2.3 percentage points to 97.1%. It was the highest utilization rate for Gulf coast refineries since late December. -- David Barry
