US April NGL production sets record, up 2.1% from March: EIA data
HOUSTON, June 29, 2018 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids rose 87,000 b/d, or 3.7%, in April to 4.26 million b/d, compared to the prior month, according to EIA data released Friday. This marks a new all-time high, per the EIA data, besting the previous record of 4.173 million b/d in March. Ethane and propane supplies also hit new highs in April as well.
Ethane production was at 1.719 million b/d, up 57,000 b/d from March. The prior record was set in March at 1.662 million b/d. Propane supplies came in at 1.35 million b/d, up 11,000 b/d from March. The prior all-time high was seen in March at 1.339 million b/d).
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
-- Butane: 335,000 b/d, down 1,000 b/d from March;
-- Isobutane: 383,000 b/d, an increase of 9,000 b/d;
-- Natural gasoline: 472,000 b/d, a 10,000 b/d increase.
