US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise for second week

HOUSTON, July 18, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased by 182,000 barrels (7.7%) to 2.532 million barrels for the week ended July 13, the EIA said today. It was the second consecutive inventory build, bringing stocks back to the same level as three weeks earlier. Propylene inventories have risen in only four of the past twelve weeks and are about 10% below the 52-week average of 2.829 million barrels. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization fell 2.8 percentage points to 94.2%. -- David Barry
