NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Oil drops below $69, nat gas drops
HOUSTON, July 31, 2018 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.37 at $68.76/bbl. September Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.89/bbl at $74.10 bbl. The September Brent/WTI spread widened to $5.34 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were down 1.5 cents at $2.782 mmBtu. August NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.1291 gal, down 3.12 cpg.
August gasoline differentials were mostly lower versus Friday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 11.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 5.50 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 1.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 7.25 over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $13.62 bbl, $5.08 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
