US NGL production sets new record in May, up 1.4% from April
HOUSTON, August 1, 2018 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids rose 61,000 b/d, or 1.4%, in May to 4.321 million b/d, compared to the prior month, according to EIA data released Tuesday. This marks a new record, per the EIA data, besting the previous record of 4.26 million b/d in April. Propane, isobutane and natural gasoline also set fresh high-water marks during the month.
Ethane production was at 1.704 million b/d, down 15,000 b/d from April. Ethane production losses were seen in PADDs II and III. Propane supplies came in at 1.372 million b/d, up 22,000 b/d from April. The prior all-time high was seen in April at 1.35 million b/d.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
. Butane: 341,000 b/d, up 6,000 b/d from April;
. Isobutane: 398,000 b/d, an increase of 15,000 b/d;
. Natural gasoline: 506,000 b/d, a 34,000 b/d increase.
