NGL stocks fall 2.4% in May: EIA data
HOUSTON, August 1, 2018 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids stocks fell 89,000 barrels to 3.559 million barrels in May compared to April, according to EIA data released Tuesday.
Propane stocks fell 7,000 barrels in May to 1.157 million barrels. The last time May propane stocks were this low was in May 2004, according to EIA data. Ethane inventories fell 146,000 barrels month-on-month to 378,000 barrels in May. This is the lowest level for May ethane stockpiles since the EIA began recording inventory data in January 1993.
Other NGLs’ stockpile data is as follows:
· Butane: 1.166 million barrels, up 149,000 barrels from April;
· Isobutane: down 6,000 barrels from April to 322,000 barrels;
· Natural gasoline: 536,000 barrels, down 79,000 barrels from April.
