NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Oil drops $1.10, nat gas also falls

HOUSTON, August 1, 2018 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.10 at $67.66/bbl. September Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.88/bbl at $72.43 bbl. The October Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $5.93 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were down 2.4 cents at $2.758 mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.0451 gal, down 3.54 cpg.

September gasoline differentials were mostly higher versus Tuesday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $15.09 bbl, $3.88 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
