NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Oil, nat gas, RBOB climb
HOUSTON, August 2, 2018 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.30 at $68.96/bbl. September Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.08/bbl at $73.51 bbl. The October Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $5.85 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were up 5.8 cents at $2.816 mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.0681 gal, up 2.30 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were mostly lower versus Wednesday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 7.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 2.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 5.00 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 10.75 over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 0.75 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $14.74 bbl, $4.05 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
