NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude rallies; nat gas, gasoline continue to sink
HOUSTON, August 16, 2018 (PCW) -- September NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.45 at $65.46/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.55/bbl at $71.42/bbl. The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $6.54/bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were down 3.2 cents at $2.908/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.9874/gal, down 1.00 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were mostly stronger versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 8.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 3.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 4.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 rose to 9.50 over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 1.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $14.37/bbl, $5.17/bbl under the screen. -- John Troland
