NYMEX Friday Wrap: Crude, nat gas close week with gains
HOUSTON, August 17, 2018 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.45 at $65.91/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.50/bbl at $71.92/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $6.71/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 3.8 cents at $2.946/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.9809/gal, down 0.65 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were mixed versus Thursday’s level.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was weaker at 8.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 3.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 5.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was up at 10.00 over the screen.
RBOB rose to 0.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $13.77 bbl, $5.16 bbl under the screen. – John Troland
